I have been doing research online and can’t find any detailed information. I am inquiring about laws and processes in the state of Texas. If a credit card company sues the debtor, provided the person is served with papers, shows up in court, and the creditor wins the case and obtains a judgment, what happens next? Will the debtor then have an opportunity to make payment arrangements on the judgment amount, or will they be required to pay everything at once?
