Georgetown IRC Hosts Secretary Madeleine Albright
The Georgetown International Relations Club hosted the former Secretary of State, Dr. Madeleine Albright for a lecture titled "Memo to the President: How We Can Restore America's Reputation and Leadership." This lecture was presented the week immediately following President Obama's victory by Secretary Albright in which she highlighted the major foreign policy issues the President will have to address. The lecture was co-organized with Georgetown's Mortara Center for International Studies, and was held before an ever captive audience of 800 Georgetown students in Gaston Hall on November 10, 2008. IRC Chair Emeritus Jasdeep Singh welcomed the audience and delivered the introduction for Secretary Albright.

Sara Powell - Medical Secretary
Sara Powell works in the Histopathology Department at Addenbrookes Hospital as a medical secretary "Anybody who has anything wrong with them, or anything taken out of them, will come through the department for analysis". She has done several different jobs over the years, but always wanted to work in a hospital. After gaining some computer qualifications she was offered a secretarial role at Addenbrookes. She says "life is very short, it's too short to be horrible to people or to sit around being miserable. Just get out there and be happy really, that's what you have to do. Enjoy every day."
